Trimming and Pruning

Trimming can service two purposes, hazard reduction and maintenance.  Hazard reduction rids your tree of branches that compromise the structural integrity of the tree.  Dead wood is full of decay, fungal organisms, and insects and should be pruned.  Maintenance can make your tree more aesthetically pleasing while promoting better health.  Our professional arborists have specialized training and equipment as well as an eye for what needs to be done.  Pruning enhances the appearance and value of landscaping.

Tree and stump removal

Although we consider every option to conserve your trees, sometimes due to generally poor conditions, inappropriate location, or unacceptable risk, removal is simply the best management option.  Some removal projects are quite routine, while others require highly technical skills, including complex rigging or use of large cranes. We are also able to grind out any size stump and assist you in choosing replacement options.

Cabling and bracing

Often a tree with structural weakness can be pruned to correct structural weakness or at least minimize the risk of breakage.  In other cases, usually in combination with pruning, cabling and bracing techniques can be an effective means of extending the life of a tree that might otherwise require removal.

Tree Disease Treatment

Many trees are susceptible to a variety of diseases, such as: Dutch Elm’s Disease, Oak wilt, and the recent emergence of Emerald Ash Bore.  We can take some preventative measures to help protect your trees for years to come.
